How can we help a community grow?
Year: 2024-2025
Location: Seattle, Washington
In Collaboration with: Yehaw Indigenous Creative’s Collective & Sawhorse Revolution
This project is the result of a Sawhorse Revolution Design-Build program in which design and construction mentors led high school students in the construction of two heavy timber pavilions for a Yehaw Indigenous Creative Collective. The pavilions were constructed using re-purposed round fir posts donated by indigenous artist Kim Deriana, who had previously used these timbers for a sculptural installation at Seattle’s King Street Station.
